Mexican Hot Chocolate

This recipe is not your usual hot chocolate I can promise you that! But if you like coffee and cinnamon you're in for a delicious taste on your taste buds! We made this drink up when we decorated the house for Christmas. Some of us didn't like it but honestly I loved it...only if it was me making it I'd have 1 cup of sugar instead of 1/2 cup because it just wasn't sweet enough for me! (Of course I like things a lot sweeter than most people can stand them...)

Ingredients
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2-1 cup sugar
3 Tablespoons instant coffee
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups water
4 cups milk

Directions

Makes 8 2/3 cup servings.
The powdered ingredients. :)
1. In a sauce pan place the cocoa powder, sugar, instant coffee, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Add in water. Cook on medium heat.

2. Stir until all the chocolate is mixed in. Add milk. Simmer for 4 minutes.

3. Serve warm and with marshmallows if you wish!
