I am working on shutting down the Wedding Blog. I am building a new page here on Blue Eyed Beauty Blog so none of the info is lost. :)
We decided to make our own invitations and *hope* that it wouldn't cost us a fortune! lol. Really thought we didn't do too bad. It was about $45 for the invitations, $6 for the photos, and $45 for the stamps. I'm quite pleased with the outcome. Momma did the calligraphy for all the envelopes and I think they turned out just beautiful!

I've been getting way more spam lately too, so I had to do away with that option as well. I understand. Your invitations turned out lovely, and I adore your photo. When we ordered our invitations, we accidentally ordered one per person, not per family. Somewhere in my parents' house is a box of about 100 printed invitations!
ReplyDeleteOh I know! I just didn't feel like dealing with it. I've actually had a few readers email me and ask about the name/url option which is no longer up since removing the anonymous commenter option. Unfortunately it seems those two are linked together so it had to go too which is sad to me, but I really don't have time to deal with the amount of spam I was receiving. Hopefully I'll be able to turn that option back on in a month or so...we'll see. :)
DeleteOh how funny! I still have about 15 invitations which I didn't end up sending out...I'm sure I'll be putting some in my scrapbook for the wedding. Don't know what I'll do with the rest! lol.

I think they turned out great. How awesome that your mom was able to do the calligraphy. That is such a beautiful talent.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Yes I am quite jealous of her talent! When I was about 9 I actually did a little calligraphy, but I haven't practiced much in the last 10 years or so and now I wouldn't even know where to begin!!
