Apostolic Style | Casual & Green Country Girl

Hey! I am finally starting to get some of my regular series back on track. I'm really excited about today's post! I actually just created the image, but I think it turned out really well and super cute!

Dressing modestly & being Pentecostal means that I have a whole new challenge for myself every time I get dressed. Because I choose to wear skirts I have to find new and fun ways to put outfits together. I am a country girl at heart. I don't wear pants though so in place of the pants I chose a long skirt. Trust me, this is still a cute outfit! Of course I'm a big time girly girl too so I had to add some fun floral fabric in the form of an infinity scarf!

Cooking For 2 | Potato Casserole

The inspiration for this recipe was found via The Spotted Lamb.

Ingredients
1 32 oz. bag Southern Hash Browns, frozen
1 1/2 cups plain yogurt
1 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 teaspoon onion powder
sprinkle in black pepper to taste
2 Tablespoons butter
1 cup cornflakes, crushed

Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2. Pour the hash browns into a large bowl.
3. In a separate bowl mix together the yogurt, milk, salt, onion powder, and black pepper.
4. Pour the wet mix over the hash browns and stir until everything is well coated.
5. Pour the mix into a greased 9x13 pan.
6. Bake for 40-50 minutes.
7. Melt the butter in a microwave. Crush the cornflakes and stir them into the butter.

8. Sprinkle the butter/cornflakes mix onto the baked potato casserole. Put the casserole back in the oven and bake for 10-15 more minutes.
9. Pull it out and serve warm!

Notes
This is a great dish to serve for breakfast or dinner! Some fantastic sides you could serve with this for breakfast would be Fluffy Pancakes, Fried Apples, and/or sausage & bacon! We ate the potato casserole for dinner by itself and it was fantastic! Enjoy!!

Blog Restyling | Taylor's Before & After Signature

Awhile back I participated in a giveaway over at Keeping Plus where I gave away a blog Restyle! Well, the lucky winner was Taylor who blogs over at Confessions of a Busy, Busy Bee...and she had done some recent work on her blog style and only really wanted a new signature! This was a new experience for me since I had never created a signature before, but I decided that it was time to learn something new!

Here is what Taylor's signature used to look like:

And here is what I came up with for her:

This new signature was first aired on March 8th on the post High Five For Friday! I was so thrilled to see she mentioned me!!! What an honor!

I honestly thought the original signature was super cute, but I totally loved creating the new signature and I think it goes well with the rest of her blog design! Be sure to head over and check out her blog and give her a comment or two!!

Words On Sunday | Promote What You Love

{photo via Pinterest}

I think too often people focus their conversations on what is wrong with life. Instead of sharing the things they love, they spend more time focusing on the things they don't. This week I challenge you to try and see how often you find yourself "promoting what you hate" and then change the conversation into something more positive!
